Please note:

Herb/Henry/Harriet and Hugo require a flat surface to set up and serve on. Bear in mind that stairs and narrow pathways are very difficult for the carts to navigate, so please check with us beforehand if the area/venue is suitable - we can usually find a way to make it work!

  • When is the best time to serve gelato/sorbet to my guests? The best time is the afternoon when the sun is out. This is the perfect time to enjoy your gelato and the perfect time to have your professional photos taken with our gorgeous carts.

  • What if I require the cart to be set up more than half an hour before serving time? A bump in fee of $50 will apply if you require us to arrive earlier in the day to set up. E.G If you would like us to set up at your venue for dessert service before your guests arrive at the reception. Please talk to us to discuss.

  • What if I have an event in the city that requires you to park in the city? A parking fee of $30 will apply for us to park in the city. If there is a parking spot within the venue we will refund the $30. In the event if the parking fee is much higher than the $30 we will send you an invoice for the remainder along with the parking receipt. We have been charged up to $80 at times to park in the city.

  • What happens if it is raining on the day of my event? I know you will have a back up plan (B) for the gelato cart to be placed indoors. We simply cannot have the cart out in the rain due to the electrical parts.

  • Can the cart stay longer?: Regular serving time is one and a half (1.5) hours of service, (this is our most popular package) if additional time is required a fee of $50 per half hour will apply. Please ask us if you need require a smaller/larger package for the number of guests attending.

  • How do I confirm my booking?: A $150 deposit is required to secure your event date. The remaining amount is due 14 days before your booked date in order for us to pay our beautiful suppliers. One week for your event we will ask for your flavours you have selected for Herb to serve at your event and confirm all the important details for the day.

  • What happens after my booking is confirmed?: A booking form and flavour menu will be sent to you. Please don’t forget to return your booking form to us.

  • What if my venue doese’t have any power for the gelato trike? We will double check with the venue also, just to make sure. If no power we will supply a generator for a fee of $30 for the duration of your event.

  • Can I have the event on council land? We would need a copy of the relevant paperwork/license stating we are allowed to operate and serve food there.

  • Do you make the gelato & sorbet? We purchase our product from Maleny Food Co based in Maleny. Maleny Food Co has a factory where all their products are made. The Sorbets cannot be certified as DF due to being made in the same factory as the gelato.

  • Can you ride the gelato bike/trike? Yes, Anthony does at times to some events depending on the area and surface. And yes, it is funny to see!

  • What do you do if there is any gelato/sorbet left after my event? Where possible we will store it on site at your venue for you to collect the next day. Some venues don’t have the storage space or don’t wish to store the product.
